Why we exist
Most identity products stop at sign-in. They issue a token and trust everything downstream to honour it. That is not enough when the caller is software acting on its own.
For twenty years, identity meant a person in a browser. You signed them in, handed over a token, and the application did the rest.
AI agents change that. An agent holds credentials, calls tools and reaches other systems by itself, on a machine nobody is watching. Asking it to behave is not a control.
So we put the decision where the work happens: at the gateway an agent's tool call passes through, on the node a service runs on, and in the kernel of the machine a connection leaves from. Every refusal is written down, with where it was refused.

Four rules that decide how the product is built and how we describe it, including on this site.
Enforced means no way in
We call something enforced only when the refusal happens where the work runs. A control that can be walked around is a suggestion.
Say where it stands
Every part of the product is marked Available, Pilot or In development, here and in the console. Nothing is called finished before it is.
Standards over invention
OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM. Where a standard exists we implement it.
Your data, where you put it
Accounts, sessions, keys and the record stay in the region you chose, or in your own cloud.
